Palm Springs, California

With excellent temperate weather year-round and a little bit of everything, Palm Springs, California is a perfect destination for a girls getaway weekend. An oasis in the middle of a barren desert, Palm Springs offers scenic hiking trails, a multitude of spas, luxurious hotels and celebrity homes, and the world’s largest Fan Palm Oasis.
There are wonderful places to stay in Palm Springs for every budget. One of the most beautiful places to stay is Saguaro, a colorful hotel that routinely makes appearances all over Instagram. While the beauty of the hotel is reason enough to stay at Saguaro, the hotel also offers the famous El Jefe tacos. Rent a cruiser bike from the hotel and explore the city. While Ace Hotel is popular with Coachella goers, Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs boasts an impressive rooftop pool and it’s the only one in Palm Springs! I actually visited Palm Springs on a van life trip with Cabana Vans.
Did someone say spa day?
Palm Springs is home to lots of luxury spas where you can spend a day with your girlfriends relaxing and being pampered. Two of the best spa offerings can be found at The Ritz Carlton Rancho Mirage and the Sands Hotel and Spa. Both hotels offer luxurious spa treatments such as warm desert stone massages and indigenous desert clay wraps at The Ritz Carlton and aromatherapy massages at the Sands.
Visit Palm Canyon Creek to visit the largest Fan Palm Oasis in the world and partake of an afternoon of hiking. The palm oasis offers excellent views and perfect opportunities for exciting photos. If hiking is not to your thing, head down to El Paseo Drive, Palm Springs’s famous shopping district. With over 250 shops, boutiques, coffee shops, and restaurants, it will be the perfect way to spend an afternoon in Palm Springs.
Austin, Texas

The capital of Texas, Austin, is home to several universities and one of the largest centers of business in Texas. Known as the outdoor music capital of the world, there is plenty to do for your girls getaway weekend in Austin.
While there is no lack of hotels in Austin, the city is home to several places that would be perfect for a girls weekend. Split the cost and rent The Graeber House. With six beds, up to twelve can stay here and enjoy the indoor pool and Instagram-worthy decor. Or stay in the center of it all at the JW Marriott.
With college-town vibes. Austin offers a culinary adventure. Austin is home to more than seven food truck parks, each unique in its own way. Many of the parks offer outdoor seating as well as live music venues. Check out each park’s website to see the trucks that are currently at each park and to find the live outdoor music schedule. Maybe you want to coincide your trip with famous festivals, like SXSW to make your weekend an epic adventure.
Austin also has a plethora of outdoor activities. Barton Springs Pool is a natural pool located in the heart of Austin’s Zilker Park. The pool is fed by an underground spring that keeps the water at a balmy 68-70 degrees allowing for year-round swimming. If you’re looking to stay a bit drier while you enjoy time with your girlfriends, try a party cruise on Lady Bird Lake. This beautiful lake also offers kayak and paddleboard rentals.
Nashville, Tennessee

The home of country music, Nashville, Tennessee, has gained a lot of popularity in recent years as the perfect place to get away for the weekend with your best girlfriends or host a rocking bachelorette party, and for good reason. With a large number of decadent dining options, luxurious shopping opportunities, and music on every corner, it is bound to be a fun weekend.
With its diverse culinary offerings, there won’t be any shortage of food options. For a Parisian-inspired cafe, check out Lou Nashville where you can sample a breathtaking brunch menu. Deacon’s New South offers a beautiful dining experience. The restaurant filled with clean lines offers an industrial dining experience with mouth-watering steaks, Gulf-coast seafood-inspired dishes with a flare of Cajun influences.
Spend the afternoon visiting the Grand Ole Opry which is open to tours where you can see the iconic and historic stage that has hosted some of the biggest names in country music. Don’t want to leave you can also stay at the Gaylord Opryland. The Grand Ole Opry operates an extensive show schedule so you may even be able to take in a concert. To continue the music adventure, head down to the famous Broadway in downtown Nashville. Broadway is the street where the music never stops.
In addition to the large number of music venues located on Broadway, the thoroughfare is also home to Bridgestone Arena where NHL Nashville’s Predators play. The arena also hosts the annual Country Music Association Awards. You will also find Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge on Broadway. The famous honky-tonk bar and restaurant hosts live music every night and have famously launched careers including stars such as Willie Nelson. It’s the perfect place to grab some authentic southern cuisine, a stiff drink, and listen to some local artists trying to make their big break.
Nashville is also home to several shopping districts where you find everything from luxurious name brands to handmade artisan products. The Gulch is a trendy neighborhood where you can browse some of the artisan shops in unique industrial settings. Grab lunch in The Mall at Greenhills which is home to the iconic restaurant The Bluebird Cafe and luxury brand stores like Louis Vuitton.
Savannah, Georgia

Founded in 1733, Savannah, Georgia is known for its beautiful historical architecture and slow, Southern atmosphere but is the perfect place for a luxurious girls weekend full of southern hospitality.
The beautiful southern architecture that Savannah is known for creates lots of Instagram-worthy photo opportunities, such as the idyllic street Rainbow Row. Take an architecture tour to see all of the historic homes that Savannah has to offer. If you and your girlfriends are looking for a thrill, try a ghost tour through one of Savannah’s historic cemeteries, such as Bonaventure Cemetery, the iconic moss-draped cemetery that was the backdrop for the movie version of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.
If you are a fan of the historic side of Savannah, there is no shortage of historic homes that have been converted into vacation rental properties. The Alida offers a modern and luxurious hotel experience in a beautiful historic building. With exquisite suites and valet parking, you and your best friends may just want to stay at the hotel and enjoy the exquisite menu at the restaurant and the beautiful outdoor pool.
Rich in History and Culture
Savannah’s food scene is just as rich as its historical flavor. With no shortage of restaurants, it should be easy to find the perfect place for an elegant night out. The Grey offers an upscale dining experience that blends the cultural and ethnic melting pot of the south into an exquisite cuisine. If you are looking for a meal that appeals to all your senses, check The Collins Quarter. This restaurant in historic downtown Savannah is known for artfully plated fare that you won’t be able to take your eyes off of.
Savannah is also home to a plethora of locally-owned boutique shops that allow for a fun day of shopping. Savannah is easily walkable in most areas with lots of wonderful cafes and coffee shops to stop and take a break if you get a bit too warm. If the local boutique shops, you will be able to find locally made soaps, jewelry, and art.
Savannah is also only twenty minutes away from the historic Tybee Island which is known for its beautiful soft sand. Spend some relaxing time, grab some decadent seafood, and see if you can spot some of the seventy-eight alligators that call Tybee Island home.
Boulder, Colorado

Located outside of Denver, Boulder offers a bit more low-key adventure. The city is home to a number of spas, markets, and breweries. With rustic offerings, it is the perfect place for a relaxing weekend.
If you are looking for a luxurious place to stay in Boulder, try The St. Julien Hotel in downtown Boulder. This swanky hotel offers all the modern amenities you could want on a girls weekend getaway. However, if you are looking for a more low-key visit to Boulder, head just outside of town and rent one of the rustic cottages in Chautauqua Park. I personally have stayed at the Embassy Suites in Boulder which has a heated pool!
One of the biggest appeals of Boulder is its proximity to nature. With an abundance of hiking trails around the Chautauqua Trailhead, you shouldn’t have any problems finding a way to get some fresh air. If you’re looking for something a little more fun, try an outdoor yoga session. There are multiple companies, such as Cairn Guides and Rocky Mountain Goat Yoga, offering outdoor exercise classes and yoga sessions.
Boulder also has refreshing outdoor fresh markets where you can shop local produce and flowers. Boulder’s Farmers Market has tons of fresh plants, local eateries, and coffee shops to sample from. Boulder is also home to the famous tea company Celestial Seasonings. You can take a tea tour at the company headquarters and sample unlimited hot and cold teas in tons of unique flavors. If it’s winter head to Keystone Resort to add a day of skiing!
Scottsdale, Arizona
Arizona is usually not the first destination to come to mind when planning a girls weekend but the lovely Scottsdale has so much to offer. From desert hikes to historical sites, you and your girlfriends will have a fantastic time in beautiful Scottsdale.
Sanctuary Resort on Camelback Mountain is the perfect place to stay for your girls weekend. The resort offers a scenic infinity pool that overlooks the Arizona desert. You can also indulge at the onsite full-service spa. The spa offers Asain-influenced spa treatments such as Luk Pra Kope Thai massage.
Check Out Historic Scottsdale
With a large number of historical sites, you’ll have a blast taking a historical Old Town in Scottsdale. The free walking tours make stops at the historic Red Spur Saloon and the Little Red Schoolhouse. After you complete your historic walking tour, spend the afternoon in Old Town Scottsdale where you will find tons of boutiques and gift shops.
Just outside of Scottsdales lies the picturesque McDowell Sonoran Preserve. With dozens of trails varying in difficulty, it is the perfect place to spot desert wildlife and the famous saguaro cacti often associated with Scottsdale as well as the rest of Arizona. From history to wildlife there are so many activities and things to explore making this one of the best girls getaway weekend trips.
