An oasis in the middle of a barren desert, Palm Springs offers scenic hiking trails, a multitude of spas, luxurious hotels and celebrity homes, and the world’s largest Fan Palm Oasis.
There are wonderful places to stay in Palm Springs for every budget. One of the most beautiful places to stay is Saguaro, a colorful hotel that routinely makes appearances all over Instagram. While the beauty of the hotel is reason enough to stay at Saguaro, the hotel also offers the famous El Jefe tacos. Rent a cruiser bike from the hotel and explore the city. While Ace Hotel is popular with Coachella goers, Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs boasts an impressive rooftop pool and it’s the only one in Palm Springs! I actually visited Palm Springs on a van life trip with Cabana Vans.
Did someone say spa day?
Palm Springs is home to lots of luxury spas where you can spend a day with your girlfriends relaxing and being pampered. Two of the best spa offerings can be found at The Ritz Carlton Rancho Mirage and the Sands Hotel and Spa. Both hotels offer luxurious spa treatments such as warm desert stone massages and indigenous desert clay wraps at The Ritz Carlton and aromatherapy massages at the Sands.
Visit Palm Canyon Creek to visit the largest Fan Palm Oasis in the world and partake of an afternoon of hiking. The palm oasis offers excellent views and perfect opportunities for exciting photos. With over 250 shops, boutiques, coffee shops, and restaurants, it will be the perfect way to spend an afternoon in Palm Springs.
The capital of Texas, Austin, is home to several universities and one of the largest centers of business in Texas. Known as the outdoor music capital of the world, there is plenty to do for your girls getaway weekend in Austin.
While there is no lack of hotels in Austin, the city is home to several places that would be perfect for a girls weekend. Split the cost and rent The Graeber House. Founded in 1733, Savannah, Georgia is known for its beautiful historical architecture and slow, Southern atmosphere but is the perfect place for a luxurious girls weekend full of southern hospitality.
The beautiful southern architecture that Savannah is known for creates lots of Instagram-worthy photo opportunities, such as the idyllic street Rainbow Row. Take an architecture tour to see all of the historic homes that Savannah has to offer. If the local boutique shops, you will be able to find locally made soaps, jewelry, and art.
Savannah is also only twenty minutes away from the historic Tybee Island which is known for its beautiful soft sand. Spend some relaxing time, grab some decadent seafood, and see if you can spot some of the seventy-eight alligators that call Tybee Island home.
Located outside of Denver, Boulder offers a bit more low-key adventure. The city is home to a number of spas, markets, and breweries. With rustic offerings, it is the perfect place for a relaxing weekend.
If you are looking for a luxurious place to stay in Boulder, try The St. Julien Hotel in downtown Boulder. This swanky hotel offers all the modern amenities you could want on a girls weekend getaway. However, if you are looking for a more low-key visit to Boulder, head just outside of town and rent one of the rustic cottages in Chautauqua Park. I personally have stayed at the Embassy Suites in Boulder which has a heated pool!
One of the biggest appeals of Boulder is its proximity to nature. With an abundance of hiking trails around the Chautauqua Trailhead, you shouldn’t have any problems finding a way to get some fresh air. If you’re looking for something a little more fun, try an outdoor yoga session. There are multiple companies, such as Cairn Guides and Rocky Mountain Goat Yoga, offering outdoor exercise classes and yoga sessions.
Boulder also has refreshing outdoor fresh markets where you can shop local produce and flowers. Boulder’s Farmers Market has tons of fresh plants, local eateries, and coffee shops to sample from. Boulder is also home to the famous tea company Celestial Seasonings. You can take a tea tour at the company headquarters and sample unlimited hot and cold teas in tons of unique flavors.
