Austin, Texas’s unofficial slogan is “Keep Austin Weird”.  A slogan coined by a local radio station legend, hippies and old-timers alike used this as a battle cry to fight commercialism and the rapid overdevelopment due to the soaring population from tech giants adopting Austin as a new home.

New Orleans a city of jazz, mouthwatering food, and the nicest people that make you do a double take. The beauty of New Orleans is it is a city where almost anything goes. I have been three times throughout my life and every time the Big Easy surprises me with different experiences that blow my mind. 

I have gone as a teen, a booze crazed 21-year-old, and a more mature sober Sarah. This time around there was no booze as I traversed the city, by day and night. In fact, the past 6 months I have cut out alcohol out of my diet entirely, but that is an entirely different story. Seeing New Orleans through a fresh mindset and an open mind allowed me have a hell of a great time!

Every year tourists are drawn to the Caribbean’s paradise of turquoise waters, snow white sand, and palm trees. However, there is really no need to splurge on overpriced plane tickets to find your slice of heaven on the beach. I have grown up in Florida and rounded up some of my favorite beaches that will transport you to paradise and have you leave with a kick ass tan. From the Pan Handle, to the Florida Keys there is enough beach for us all to experience waves of azure, and lay out in ivory colored sand.
